OEM / ODM
OEM / ODM Custom Computer Design Services
When standard hardware can’t fully satisfy your requirements, IPCMate steps in as your design partner. Whether you need modifications to existing platforms or a fully bespoke system, our OEM/ODM services bring together engineering, design, and production to deliver exactly what your project demands.
Our Approach — Collaborative & Transparent
We believe a successful custom design is built on trust, visibility, and shared goals. That means:
We involve you early and often, keeping you informed across all stages of development.
We give you trade-offs, cost estimates, and engineering rationale so you’re never in the dark.
We align the design decisions with your timeline, budget, and deployment environment.
Here’s how we typically work:
Our Design Process
1. Requirements & Discovery
We start by asking deep questions—not just “what do you want,” but “why you want it.” Environmental constraints, lifespan goals, regulatory or safety requirements, and business objectives all feed into this phase. We’ll classify features into must-haves, nice-to-haves, and risks to avoid.
2. Concept Design / Architecture
From the inputs, we propose several viable design paths. You’ll receive spec sheets, block diagrams, 2D/3D drafts, and pros & cons of each alternative. We’ll review trade-offs (cost vs size vs performance vs manufacturability) together and choose a direction.
3. Electronics & Firmware
With a chosen concept, we do the circuit and system design: PCB layout, power systems, signal routing, firmware or BIOS customization, and integration with off-the-shelf modules when feasible. We optimize for signal integrity, thermal behavior, reliability, and testability.
4. Mechanical & Enclosure Design
Parallel to electronics, we develop the mechanical design: housing, connectors, mounting points, thermal management, sealing (IP ratings), and ergonomics. We decide whether to use CNC machined enclosures, injection tooling, sheet metal, or hybrid assemblies depending on volume, cost, and complexity.
5. Prototyping & Validation
We’ll build prototypes (or small validation batches) to test in your target conditions. You’ll have hands-on access to assess fit, function, thermal performance, vibration, EMC, or other real-world constraints. Based on feedback, we iterate until the design meets expectations.
6. Production & Delivery
Once approved, we transition into production. We align on manufacturing timeline, quality control, and logistics. Throughout the production run, we maintain support to manage defects, changes, or supply chain adjustments. Your product is released with confidence.
